The visa regulations for travellers visiting Philippines vary from country to country. Generally, Indian Passport holders need to apply for visa if they want to travel to the Philippines.

Indians having valid visa from the European Union (EU) or any of six other countries, such as United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Singapore and United Kingdom can enter the country without a visa and stay upto 14 days.

So if you do not have any valid visa from any of the above countries, you need to apply tourist visa at Philippine consulate at the country of your residence.

Here are following basic requirements for Philippine Visa from India.

  • Visa application form fully and legibly completed in English by the applicant
  • One passport size photograph
  • Bank statements for the last six months stamped and signed by bank officer
  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the contemplated stay in the Philippines.
  • Photocopy  of the applicant’s passport.
  • Copy of confirmed flight ticket including the return ticket.
  • Invitation letter from inviting party from Philippines with complete address and contact numbers.
  • Visa processing fee in demand draft drawn from any bank in India with branch in New Delhi payable to “Embassy of the Philippines”. Cash payments are not accepted. The Visa processing fees for Indian nationals are as below:9A Single entry visa valid for 3 months      – Rs 2840
    9A Multiple entries visa valid for 6 months – Rs. 5680
    9A Multiple entries visa vaild for 1 year      – Rs. 8520

One can also apply the temporary tourist visa for Philippines through travel agents provided all requirements are complied with.

Due to increased visa processing time from 3 working days to 10 working days, it is advised to apply for visa well atleast 3-4 weeks prior to scheduled departure to Philippines.

There are times, the Philippine consulate asks for additional documents therefore it is advised to apply for visa atleast 3 weeks prior to scheduled departure to Philippines.

Tips for applying for Philippine visa from India

  • Make sure you have enough in your bank account to prove your financial credibility
  • Show proof that you are well settled in India (with business, property papers, Income Tax returns) to avoid any doubt that you are going for employment purposes.
  • It helps if you have travelled other countries before.
  • A valid credit card and billing statement.
