MakatiMed exclusive Phl partner of world-class liver center in India:
In a bid to boost medical excellence in the field of liver transplantation in the Phlippines, Makati Medical Center inked an agreement with India’s Max Hospital.
Max Hospital in New Delhi:
Max Hospital’s ANG center for Liver & Biliary sciences has already performed more than 2,700 liver transplants. With a big success rate, it has become the top destination for Filipino children in the need of a liver transplant.
MakatiMed’s Partnership with Max Hospital:
The partnership project was made possible by the efforts of FICCI Board of Directors led by President Rex Daryanani. This project aims to develop a state-of-the-art liver transplant program in the Philippines.
Dr Sharat Varma, the lead pediatric hepatologist at the India based liver center, said that the partnership aims to provide continuity of care for the patients going to India for their treatment.The two instituitions will collaorate on clinical education and training in liver transplantation and physian exchange programs. they will share best practices in the feild of liver transplantation through joint conferences, seminars and courses.
Representing MakatiMed in the contract signing were President and CEO Ma. Corazon Consunjiand Medical Director Johnny Sinon, while MaxHospital’s ANG center was represented by Dr Varma. The Indian Ambassador to the Philippines, Mr Jaideep Mzumdar, FICCI President,Mr Rex Daryanani, and other FICCI officials were also present in the event.
